Celebrating Father's Day at Banana Leaf Curry House

Last June 17, we celebrated Father's Day with my father in law in Banana Leaf Curry House at the Ayala Center Cebu Terraces.  My wife was really looking forward to eating curry and roti canai. Before we went there, my wife called 233-3321 to book for seats because we know that the place will be packed on Father's day. So, here is how our Father's Day feast went.

For our pork dish, we ordered baby back ribs.
We really enjoyed the Pomelo salad.
Steph loves spring rolls like the Vietnamese Spring Rolls at Banana Leaf Curry.
For soup, we have the classic hot and sour Tom Yum.  Their version is really rich and good.
 Pad thai for noodles.
We also ordered the combination of roti canai and curry sauce. I could eat this everyday.
Since we are in a curry house, we really have to try their chicken curry. Yum yum!!
The star of the meal was the crab. Very big and meaty.  Delicious!

We really had a great meal and I discovered where to go if I happen to crave for big grabs. ;)

Belated Happy Father's Day to all dads in the world!

Integrating this blog to my Wordpress site

Yesterday, I sort of decided to upgrade my Wordpress account so that I have a unique .com site.  Now, I have a site name I did all of this so that I can apply for Wordads, the new advertising system by Wordpress which is some kinda similar to Google Ads. I paid $18 for a year subscription.  After having a new name to my site, I started fiddling on what is in the dashboard.  I saw in the sidebar the word tools when I hove my mouse over tools, a menu will pop out and I clicked on Import.

After clicking Import, I read that I can import any blog for other platform like blogger to my Wordpress (WP) blog.  I clicked blogger and then after permitting WP to access my blogger acount, I chose to import the contents of this blog. Suddenly, all my posts here are posted in my site.  The nice thing about it is that it was posted in chronological order so my recent posts in were not buried.

Now, my older posts are in the other site. So, what good does it do? Well, for one, I will have some "back-up" storage for very old posts.  Second, it could be useful if one intend to delete or transfer a blog to a different site.  There might be more benefits to it and I will discover it soon.

Thanks, Google!

Well, I have been blogging for fun for quiet sometime. When I was starting using blogger, I was a curios about the monetize feature of the site. I just clicked it and read that blogs can actually make money through google ads. Yeah right, was the first statement that popped to my head.  When I read the details, it said I make a few cents every time somebody clicks an ad in one my blogs. I can only "withdraw" the money once it reaches $100. I was like saying I could probably have that after 10 years of blogging with the rate I was going.

I realized I was off by 8 years. Hehehe. When I checked my adsense account that I have reached the minimum amount, I was still skeptical about receiving money from Google.  I read the notification about the money sent and I immediately to the nearest Western Union outlet in my place. I was given $100. I real 100 bucks as in Benjamin Franklin.

You can really make money through blogging via Google Ads.  It is not easy but I was even expecting this to happen. If you have a lot of spare time and a free internet connection, why not start blogging...NOW! ;)

Parkmall- Cebu's Most Pet-friendly Mall

I know a lot of people who love dogs and cats. They would sometimes wish that they could bring their favorite pet in malls. Well in Cebu, there is a mall that allows you and your pet to enjoy malling together. The management of Parkmall in Mandaue allows pets inside the mall. You just have to register your dog or cat, and then you practically go malling with your favorite animal companion.

Parkmall is usually filled with pet-loving shoppers on weekends.  I saw countless of breeds and sizes of dogs visit the mall with their masters. To bring your dog, it must have a leash and at least, it should be toilet-trained (or else you would end up picking its pooh, which is rather embarrassing).  You can also have your dogs wear a diaper just to be sure.  I do not know the reaction of the mall management if I brought a mongrel (Azkal) there.  I guess, it won't matter much , as long as the dog is well-behaved.  If I bring an Azkal named James Younghusband, I might definitely cause some sort of pandemonium. ;)

What nice fur you have...

A pack of Chow chows invaded Parkmall ;)

Dogs in escalators??

It doesn't matter how small your pet is...

It doesn't matter how long its hair...

as long as its can bring it to the mall

It would be a different story if I bring them to Parkmall ;)
