Chocolate Hills: To cut trees or not?

The Chocolate Hills has been the face of tourism of Bohol. For years, tourists flock to these grass-covered hills that looks like mounds of chocolates when the grass turns brown during summer. If you search google for images of Bohol, you will surely see this unique natural formation.
The leaders of Bohol are now having problems after mature trees started to cover the hills. The Chocolate Hills in postcards do not look like the actual ones. Here are some of my pictures in my last visit a few months back:
Indeed, there are hills that are almost covered with trees. It might not be good but it is the first time that I ever heard that planting trees are bad for tourism. Luckily, it is not my job to decide what to do about it.
